Stand by Me Doraemon

I grew up reading the Doraemon comics. I read the chapter at the end of volume 6 where Doraemon leaves, followed by one of the biggest retcons in history with Doraemon coming back and the story continuing for another 39 volumes. For someone like me, the movie offered literally nothing over the original comics or the adapted cartoon. The best I could say about it is that the transition from 2D to 3D wasn't the trainwreck that I'd been expecting.

I think Doraemon looks much cuter in 2D.
