The Great Water (2004)
Based on the novel of the same name by acclaimed author Zhivko Chingo, The Great Water is a story of emotional dislocation and childhood resilience, of friendship and betrayal. The story follows the childhood of Lem Nikodinoski. Now a high-ranking political figure in the communist government and elderly Lem is rushed to a hospital fighting for his life. As he nears death, his only memories are of his life when he was twelve. (Picture This! Entertainment)

"The Great Water" sometimes tends to get so symbolic and poetic it becomes plain confusing. But don't get me wrong - the rest of it is a very powerful film that will keep echoing in your head for quite some time.
