The Waiting City

This movie inadvertantly diagrams the exploitive practices of India adoption agencies. A couple from Austrailia, with many interpersonal problems, travels to India to adopt a child and finds a bureaucratic nightmare, then finally gets a chronically ill child who dies before they can return home. This movie basically underscores the entirely sad and pathetic world that is India. I was particularly saddened to see the athiest mother reduced to praying to god to save her dying child.
