Valley Uprising

An insightful feel-good documentary about badass climbing legends, starting from the first explorers up until modern day free solo maniacs. The film features lots of beautiful scenery (obviously), some good animations, a well explained story about climbing rivalry over the decades and in general just lots of anti-establishment fun. I'm not into the climbing scene and I have never climbed in my life, but the adventure and adrenaline is awe-inspiring.

A documentary about the cultural struggles between the yosemites and the antisemites or something like that. Well assembled story, good watch.

I expected to kind of hate this, as I react allergically to documentaries about people celebrating themselves. And these guys are definitely those types -- utterly convinced about how "special" they are. But the stories are so interesting, and the style of the documentary is so well done, I ended up loving it. These climbers actually are the bad-asses they believe they are, and their accomplishments are amazing.

Very enjoyable history of Yosemite and rock climbing's ascent (sorry) into the increasingly popular extreme sport that it is today. I love its presentation through footage, photographs and narrated by the climbers interviews. It's seamless and rips through the decades with ease.
