Why Sailors Leave Home

When their ship arrives in an Arabian port, the sailors are given shore leave among them Bill Biggles, who has previously had little success with women. Visiting a sheik who has long been under obligation to him, Bill is welcomed at the palace, and the polygamous ruler, who has abducted a damsel, decides to absent himself and appoint Bill as his deputy. It seems Bill's luck is set to change dramatically until the wives decide to go on strike!

My first look at British comedian Leslie Fuller. Obviously a funny man, but this being 1930 and a early sound movie, the production values wasn't that high to speak about. Ton of dance and song numbers in between the silly jokes, I particularly enjoyed the Arab Apache dance Fuller and the little lady did! For a comedy clearly lifted straight off the British music halls without doing anything else with it for the camera, this was both a blast and a headache.
