If an editor has one job, it's to bring seemingly disparate narrative and thematic elements together into one compelling whole. What we get here instead is a collection of admittedly disturbing images being somewhat hurled around almost for sensational value minus that punch-in-the-gut feeling that render great films truly memorable. Had they focused as much time on developing the characters as they had bringing its narrative aesthetically to life, I'm sure this movie could've been really good.
