Woodshock

Un beau film en roue libre, avec un final excitant. Kirsten Dunst n'interprète pas la folie, elle lui donne corps, littéralement.

Woodshock is an undeniably gorgeous film. It's disheartening, however, that such raw visual beauty finds itself in service of a narrative that proves more mind-numbing than moving. There's a clever conceit here, a plot that reads well on paper, but The Mulleavy's have failed to connect concept with theme. Dunst and co. just can't bring these characters to life without the proper direction. A bold debut, but - and though I hope the Mulleavy's persevere - an insufferable one.

Yikes, seems that spending too much time in the art's texture leaves out anything to grasp for it's purpose. Unfortunate.
