One of many musical short that came out under the Vitaphone banner in the early days of sound. Whats great about these is that they gave the chance for all kinds of performers to do their thing. Even dark skinned folks! And this one shows it's black roots. What sets this one apart from the other negro shorts of the time is the visuals. Almost German expressionism set to the mood of the haunting Georgia sound. Kind of a odd combination, but cool.
