This man, who in my humble opinion is a genius, has steadily become one of my favourite film directors and I, well...basically owe my life to him for creating "Session 9" (2001), the most technically brilliant film I have ever seen and the movie which completely changed the way I view cinema. I didn't believe that it would be possible for him to release something of the same calibre but that was before I saw his 2004 masterpiece "The Machinist", and now I no longer dare to doubt him.
I've seen the machinist and besides the physical transformation from Bale that movie has nothing going for it. The payoff is terrible. Haven't seen any of his other shit though.
