Fake Wars

Post by coffee »

I want to collect fake war titles.

In fake war movies, someone creates a fake war either to cover something or to gain something.

One of the best examples of this category is Wag the Dog because the movie is all about fake war.

Star Wars prequels are another example because palpatine needed that war.

Edit: I'm not talking about movies like Tropic Thunder.
That was about a fake war but not the kind I want.

Good one. I've added Canadian Bacon (U.S. president declares war on Canada to boost his approval ratings) and adaptations of 1984

I think it would be beneficial to include documentaries that explore the idea too, like Why We Fight and The Power of Nightmares
