I think it's a tough one to start with

Yeah indeed that's a tough one actually! The first one reminded me almost 100 indian movies ;
And about the second one i'm sure i saw it somewhere (i never was more sure)

Guessing it's set in L.A. (from the Staples Center), and therefore it must be from the past 15 years also. And feature a dude with a mansion.

Incorrect but you are spot on with your first two logical assumptions.

In retrospect, the first image isn't entirely fair in that it's not a memorable scene, location or significantly relevant to the plot. I think I pounced on it as I liked the overall composition of the shot and it didn't show up on the image search (unlike the first one I tried).

I'll post another when I get home later if there are no correct answers. The one I have in mind will probably give it away but not sure if I'll use it yet.

For the record, this one isn't Image Search Safe but I figure it's obvious enough anyway and won't last long

Seeing that it appears to be a musical and the only musical I can think of the past few years taking place in L.A. is "Rock of Ages" (2012). But the issue I have is that the movie takes place in the 1980s and the Staples Center shouldn't be in this movie unless it was an over sight by the film-makers. Otherwise, I'm drawing a blank on this or I haven't seen it.

Quick edit, although, while the third image makes me believe it to be a musical, a second glance at the picture I see an 'arcade' sign in the background as well as neon lighting plus the costumes the women are wearing screams 1980s to me.

Interesting logic but relatively far off I'm afraid. It's not a musical by any stretch of the imagination but there is one dream like musical number scene, as seen in image 3, which involves a minor but integral character in the film.

It was panned on release and understandably so, but has gained a cult following and I must admit I'm quite fond of it myself

A blond Lovitz, thats got to be Southland Tales, cant say I remember much about this except he was blond and some things flew.
