What's the criticker home page? I always get the 'Recommendation' page (when I'm logged in). When I'm not logged in I get the 'Rank more films' page. Isn't it more interesting to show the 'Criticker blog' as start-page? Especially for new users?
To be honest, I never went to the blog page, only when something new pops up in my rss-reader. But I just noticed some interesting info on the right side of the vertical line. Like the 'Categories' and 'Recent comments and posts'. This page has some more dynamic content and is more interesting to show as a start page.

The 'Your Profile' page is what I have bookmarked, and seems the sensible choice. I can see my Kumpel's recent reviews, reminisce over my own beautiful writing ( ), read messages etc etc.

Actually I have "Your kumpels" bookmarked as my startpage. I'm always curious what my 'kumpels' are doing

This is interesting to see what pages everyone likes the most. The "Recommendations Page" is the default starting page, and we do have plans to make it more useful and interesting.
It might be a good feature to allow you to select your own starting page. That's something we might look into someday, though of course bookmarking whatever page you most enjoy is a fine work-around.

Yeah, I barely ever glance at the start-up recommendations page.. I immediately check my profile and then the forums, and after that I might browse about a bit.. I never remember to check the blog though. I'd really like to be able to set that as the start-up page.

Re: Criticker.com start page
I had the Standard Recommendations Page as URL, but I always click on my Profile directly so I changed the Link to my Profile now
I have a Question: My Focus now on the Recommendations Page is "Focus on... Jamie Bell", I would prefer another Focus, so when i click another Actor/Director he is shown till I Log out.
Then when I Log in later, it is again "Focus on... Jamie Bell".
Is this a Bug, or is one Actor always the entering Focus?

When you select a different actor or director in the focus box, a cookie is stored on your computer which remembers that selection. When you come back to the site, even after closing your browser, you should see the Focus you selected earlier. Your computer should remember that you no longer want to see Jamie Bell.
Since it is set with a cookie, it wouldn't work if you're logging in from a different computer, or if you clear your cookies. I just tested it and it seemed to be working fine. Is anyone else having the problem Darko describes?

That was it.
I forgot to allow cookie savings
Thanks!
