He hires the boys for a new radio program to be known as "The Old Homestead" broadcast from New York. Nancy and Uncle Jed accompany them, the latter as their manager. The show is a hit and Nancy is thrilled.

When the story begins, a country cousin, Helen, arrives in Hollywood to make it big. She stays with her cousin and her friend and the pair assume Helen is very naïve since she's unfamiliar with the big city.
