Here it is nice to see Sennett playing a different character than his usual hillbilly lover. Sennett looks quite dashing as the big game hunter. He's quite comically cowardly when the real big game shows up. Mabel is so calm and natural with the bear that she appears like a goddess or other worldly creature. She acts as if she's doing the scene with a cat or dog. (imdb)

This is quite like "Helen's Marriage" which came out a few months earlier in 1912. Once again, Edward Dillon is trying to elope with Mabel Normand, but papa interferes. Their scheme succeeds to such an extent, that Papa is forced to accept Harry as his future son-in-law.

A family of out-of-work vaudeville performers are finding hard times in the east, so after hearing about the success of a fellow player in Hollywood, they decide to relocate to the movie capitol. Unfortunately, they find themselves equally unemployed there, staying at a n apartment complex filled with similar hopefuls.

When the story begins, an airplane flying over Africa runs out of gas and the filmmaker and his team are forced to bail out. Once on the ground, all sorts of hijinks occur...such as a fight with a crocodile and a guy in a gorilla suit.

Bing Bangs (Crosby) is a salesman for "Magic" washing machines and his demonstration of the machine at the beginning of the film results in disaster. Crosby later gains a transfer from Hoboken to California and he drives his wife Ethel and her Uncle Joe (who dislikes Bing) in an open car on the journey having many adventures en route.

Sennett's studio had been mocking cowboy movies for more than a decade, and the introduction of sound gave them more things to make fun of. There are also the issues of dealing with sound equipment and the Vitaphone discs.

So they slang each other, and beat on each other, and are very happy in their abusive relationship, which saloon owner Frank Sabini tries to break up, with machine-gun fire if necessary.

When the story begins, a newly married couple (Franklin Pangborn and Marjorie Beebe) board a train for their honeymoon. Soon they make friends with what they THINK is a nice couple...not realizing they are card sharps. They crooks are spotted on the train and are warned NOT to take advantage of other passengers...so they invite the couple to their home in order to fleece them. Does the plan go as the crooks planned?

Taxi dancer Marjorie Beebe has just gotten engaged to jealous Harry Gribbon. She's taking a week at the beach, and off she goes, to meet wealthy Frank Eastman. But Gribbon haunts her, and she tries to preserve her honor, and indeed her life.

He orders her from the water and locks her in her room, but brother releases her. He finally concludes that home is the best place for her, for there she will run no chance of drowning.

Andy Clyde and Daphne Pollard are nouveaux riches moving into a posh neighbourhood and trying to impress though their behaviour is gross and gauche.

Andy fixes his rocket invention to a locomotive in order to win a race with a bus.
