pretty good for being in slop territory but can have a lot of corny stuff still and i really dont like how many things get developed offscreen that you're expected to care about later.

Daredevil (2015) - Rated 18 Oct 2026

Every single time I ignore my instincts and listen to people who say "It's actually really good!" I am severely disappointed. There are a couple good fight scenes in the first few episodes and even those are choreographed a little idk melodramatically for my taste. Lots of flailing, every single violent conflict involves a 15 step exchange apparently literally everyone can keep up with the daredevil for at least a little while. And this is the highpoint of the show I'm critiquing.

A small story though not light. The writing, dialogue, and acting are fantastic. Very real, honest, grounded characters and story.

Nocturnal Animals (2016) - Rated 13 Oct 2026

I like what is here but sharing the screen time between two stories kind of detracted from both with both endings feeling kind of cut short and idk something like being underdeveloped. I feel like the people saying the movie is like libtard/artschool slop didn't watch past the first 15 minutes because there is so little to even use to take that angle its crazy

Waterworld (1995) - Rated 13 Oct 2026

this movie i so smelly and gross. idk i dont regret watching it i guess. i kinda have nothing very good nor very bad to say. It like almost has a lot of pieces to make a really good movie i think is what makes people hate it. Like the concept of someone seeing sunken cities that they never knew existed is interesting but its kind of a meaningless pitstop here

The Menu (2022) - Rated 02 Oct 2026

Willy Wonka's restaurant. Hard to milk the concept for the entire length of the film without losing steam, which it does. The first half has a lot of moments that have interesting subtle little emotional situations but with how fast things unravel the sophistication of the dish(sorry) starts to fall away
