"Dispose the day! In youth I trod the boards in this very play, once dreaming to be Henry but cast instead as the humble Herald—though with secret delight. Yet my heart sank when our Henry floundered, spitting prose where verse should soar, and I never wooed his lady. This film redeems all: its final hour blazes with immortal fire. Branagh and Holm can do no wrong. Go forth and see it!"

"I’m speechless after watching this. It begins with clichés I abhor—amnesia and mute characters—but quickly shifts into a reserved character study. Like the main character, I wandered, letting the film pass me by, only to slowly move from “abhor” to “adore.” Nastassja Kinski’s calm, ethereal presence captivated me deeply. The film’s family dynamics and dialogue made me reflect on life and humanity. Bittersweet and unique—I highly recommend it."
