American Sniper (2014) - Rated 27 May 2015
Keeping my political and personal beliefs aside, I can rate this movie as (barely) alright. The action scenes were nice, except the one during the sandstorm due to its poor CGI, that weird call home, and its over the top shooting of Mustafa. The dialogues are bad, and I can't sympathize, empathize, like with any character, while Kyle's father is about as cliché as his rants. Anyway, bad movie.

The Shining (1980) - Rated 19 Feb 2015
Beautifully crafted! I watched it because it is classic, and to find out if it truly was everything people told me about it (and it is). I'll never watch it again.

Nightcrawler (2014) - Rated 17 Feb 2015
A business oriented psychopath is the main character who will, at times, embarass you with his bold black mail, and, in the end, he will inspire you to wish him dead. Good photography and great acting from Jake. Rick Garcia is captivating as well.

The Man with the Iron Fists (2012) - Rated 01 Feb 2015
My only gripe with it is that it's boring.

Homefront (2013) - Rated 30 Jan 2015
It deserves good credit because, though very simple, the plot is well executed. Small, "conservative" town that doesn't accept a newcomer that takes no shit, but that suddenly accepts him because he wants no trouble. I'm alright with that! Franco is, like in "Springbreakers", a convincing junky/dealer, while Winona looks like she was born the way she's portrayed (absolutely no pun intended). But Jason is the star. What Vin Diesel and even my darling The Rock are trying to do, Jason has mastered.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012) - Rated 29 Jan 2015
It's good, but I can't say much about it. Maya isn't easy to sympathize with, though keeping up with the involved politics was probably the best part.

2 Guns (2013) - Rated 28 Jan 2015
If it's just another buddy cop movie, I don't care. I had fun because of the action, because of the plot (yes, the plot. I did like it), and because I prefer seeing Mark as a bad person than a over dramatic father as in Transformers. But mostly I liked this movie because it was well put together, and I was focused on the movie 100% of the time. With all options of well regarded movies I had to choose from, I don't regret having sat through this one.

Get on Up (2014) - Rated 10 Jan 2015
I don't care how loyal to the true story this is. What I care about is how beautifully put together the movie is, and how pleasing the acting was. I was on the edge of my seat at many moments.

Well, another one of my favorite childhood memories was badly treated.

Edge of Tomorrow (2014) - Rated 26 Oct 2014
Brilliant concept, and a solid delivery from actors, graphics, and editing. When it ended, I wanted more.
