Yeah, yeah, it's technically impressive, blah blah blah. It's also completely wasted on a terrible, predictable story and frankly boring art direction. It's just so... generic.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) - Rated 19 Mar 2012
Imagine the first movie, but more incomprehensible and slightly (read: incredibly) racist.

Insultingly bad. Even the robot fights were boring.

This movie is BONKERS. I'm normally not a fan of anime-style comedy, but this one is so irreverent and fast paced that I can't help but fall in love with it. Also, Tak Sakaguchi overacts perfectly for the part.

Bunraku (2010) - Rated 19 Mar 2012
Look, I'm not going to tell you this is a good movie by any stretch. But it's a hell of a lot of fun, and has probably the weirdest cast lineup of any movie I've ever seen.

I Saw the Devil (2010) - Rated 19 Mar 2012
My favorite movie of 2010, gripping, intense, and so precise and perfectly metered in it's application of brutality that it is nearly impossible to recommend to anyone who has anything less than a wrought-iron constitution. Proved that the Korean Renaissance of the mid 2000s is not only still kicking, but stronger than ever.

Greatest horror film ever made. Period. I'll fight you I swear to god.

The Thing (2011) - Rated 19 Mar 2012
Criminally unnecessary, painfully mediocre. Everything about it is FINE. That's it. The franchise deserved so much better.

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2007) - Rated 19 Mar 2012
Incredibly fun and clever, especially to those who enjoy the slasher genre. It is a crime that the lead actor has not seen more success.
