"It was a good time, but not the same caliber as the original film. Edward Norton playing Elon Musk was fun, but Craig and MonĂ¡e had my favorite performances."

"I don't have a great memory of how good this was. It was the first one I tried after learning Elvis had starred in a whole bunch of films and I never tried another one -- so that should say something."

"Incredibly strange, disturbing and difficult to watch, yet oddly captivating. I see an allegory for queer sexual awakening, but I wouldn't reduce this film to being about just one thing. Beautiful black and white cinematography and inventive stop motion demand appreciation whatever you might think of the film's overall aesthetic. The soundtrack is also bomb."

"Watched this for Mark Hamill and he was the best thing about it. We're told a lot of things happened, but there's little effort put into making this story world look or feel like the one they describe. Everything about this film is half baked... and Bill Paxton may have just been baked."

"Great twists through the early parts of this film build the tension nicely, but it ultimately ends up just another genre film with all the trappings I've been tired of for years. Recommended if you can avoid knowing anything about the plot going in. Avoid if anything beyond the first act is spoiled."

"Watching Peele's three films (as of 2022) in reverse order was probably not the correct way to experience his work, but his unique voice and mission statement is clear from the start. There are precious few auteurs in popular film making. Peele is probably closest to Shyamalan in his style, but I feel like he has much more to say. I'll certainly revisit this and reserve the right to bump up the score significantly."
