Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984) - Rated 22 May 2024
"great portrayal of lots of interesting things... brutal realism (rip people), a worldly feel, political drama, and great animations. But main character's desire for selfless acts without any hesitation... kinda destroys the depth the movie had it going for... Power of friendship is prevalent here for MC. And the ending wasn't really satisfying."
Dune: Part Two (2024) - Rated 22 May 2024
"Much long. Much bore. But build up to really good hype moments thou."
Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024) - Rated 23 Feb 2024
"Had low expectation coming in. First episode was a surprise... quality CGI and unexpected rated R content. Pretty much a movie quality episode. But the show becomes less and less exciting to watch: it's filled with excessive exposition dialogue... and redundancy words of friendship and responsibility. Instead of character expression... it's more script expression. Uncle Iroh is still the best character... but even he couldn't escape the unnatural exposition dialogue lmaooo"
The Boy and the Heron (2023) - Rated 12 Dec 2023
"Weird dream journey, would be great if you were experiencing in a dream yourself. But for a viewer. Most of what's going on doesn't make sense. Heavy reliance on superstitions to explain stuff. World feels artificial & confusing. Feels like multiple authors drew paintings, and stitch them together to call it one whole painting. Pacing issues. MC is chad, but feels too mature at times. Good parts are few & far between. Overall, an experimental movie."
One Piece (2023) - Rated 31 Aug 2023
"Dropped after episode 4. Now I understand why live action adaptation for anime doesn't work lmao. Our brain's evolution is trained to see what is real and what isn't real. There're some good moments... of rhythm. But when the rhythm is off, it's really easy to catch that. Buggy is de best actor... his tone and acting is very convincing. Luffy is so weak in the live action. Fights isn't really impactful/interesting except for zoro scenes."
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) - Rated 15 Aug 2023
"Feels like a experimental art movie... some are executed really good but some are like too ridiculous its too funny lmao. There's too many Spidermen which diminished their relevance. The villain is very weak. Disappointed that this movie is just a set up for the next one and not a self contained one."
John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) - Rated 28 Mar 2023
"Japanese wick, nun chuck wick, gambling/hypno wick. Omega Filler, interesting new characters. Return of funny dog and window crashes. "I need a gun" wick. John wick dialogue is priceless. Theory is that John wick represents us when we were little kids killing bad guys and the rules are what we made up. Or it's just a video game, and John wick and his pals are players."
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019) - Rated 28 Mar 2023
"Comedy wick strikes again but with funny dogs. Dumb wick doesn't know camouflage or perhaps the rules prevented him to do so LMAO. The story script is so wonkey. Magic story is actually true which is hella dumb. People killed in public, no one cares. Epic copy cat wick. The rules counters all NPCs except for wick. Why they gotta make the japanese guy so cringe. Overkill hack wick 2.0 wave shooter. This is a comedy masterpiece... dumb logic, dumb lines, dumb script, and hack wick scenes."
John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) - Rated 27 Mar 2023
"bad luck funny scripted wick. The most exciting part is when he is fighting other bounty hunters which is pretty short. The rest feels like fillers and story feels less conhesive and more scripted than the first movie. the group action scenes are kinda funny ngl, feels like john wick has aim hack on lmao. The writing is so bad it's funny. Feels like this movie is written by kids and acted by grown adults. The whole continental feels omega scripted & apparently everyone is in the continental"
John Wick (2014) - Rated 26 Mar 2023
"Out of all John Wick movies, this is the most serious and the least funny of them all."
