Mysterious Mort

While it technically doesn't advance the narrative any further, it is well paced, incredibly engaging - and might I say magical - from start to finish. It focuses more on some of the side characters and the ministry, adding further depth to the world, while also setting the stage for some future events in following movies. But as someone who has not read the books yet, it does feel like they skipped some things between this and the previous movie.

Annihilation (2018) - Rated 03 Aug 2026

It's incredibly weird and the storytelling is very indirect, which contributes to the mysterious atmosphere. The area and creature designs are both beautiful and eerie.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) - Rated 26 Sep 2026

It's fun with great action and really pulls you in to their world. The environment is constantly interacted with and used as a prop, it's fantastic and makes the scenes so much more alive. The fight choreography is expertly designed and every character even has a unique style.
