The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Three More (2024) - Rated 26 Jan 2026
Who put my audiobook on 2x speed? The exhausting narration makes the whole thing hard to follow. Individually, the four stories are fine, but nothing here really justifies turning your screen on.

Paddington in Peru (2024) - Rated 20 Jan 2026
Olivia Colman kind of saves the movie, while Banderas tries way too hard.

Paddington 2 (2017) - Rated 20 Jan 2026
Overall, it's a better movie than the first Paddington — with better construction and a touching ending — but I enjoy the jokes of the previous movie more.

I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would; I might even give marmalade another shot.

Zootopia (2016) - Rated 07 Jan 2026
I actually liked the side characters more than the two heroes; the flashy sloth, the Godfather possum, the naturist yak, and the hustler fennec are great! You know it’s a good theme song when it won’t leave your head for days after the movie’s over.

Tokyo Godfathers (2003) - Rated 26 Dec 2025
What's better than a Christmas film that is fun, light, yet also engaging, like Tokyo Godfathers? Christmas is a time to celebrate the year, when children are still innocent and believe in Santa Claus, but it's also a dark day, as it is freezing cold outside — a day when everyone reflects on the future and the past, on those who have left us or whom we have left. Tokyo Godfathers is not a twisted story; it's simply a Christmas miracle.

The Sure Thing (1985) - Rated 22 Dec 2025
"Three thousand miles just to get laid. I really respect that." We came for somebody about to get laid with a hot blonde, and we leave with a kiss under the stars — I'm buyin'! And you know the movie is good when you catch different jokes upon rewatching it. It's a rich comedy, almost every scene has its little charm, thanks to the great cast all around. We forgive the lack of details on Nicollette Sheridan's character — she solely exists to be "The Sure Thing". That's the 80s for you. RIP R - Full Review

Elio (2025) - Rated 13 Dec 2025
When you try to give too much substance to a kid's adventure, it results in an ending like this, which is not really fun and a little too much. "Could life exist beyond Earth?" was a significant theme already — I'm not sure we needed the auntie. I respect Pixar for putting 150 million dollars in a movie that has a chubby caterpillar with no eyes as a sidekick — too bad it feels like there was more potential with Glordon and Elio, while the rest of the intergalactic world is pretty forgettable.

RoboCop (1987) - Rated 27 Oct 2025
"Dead or Alive, You're Coming With Me" — is what I kept saying to my wife and daughter for 1 month after watching Robocop. This movie is fun and still hits today: great villains, fun quotes, unhinged explosions (that gas station!), apocalyptic world with evil corporations (actual Detroit), iconic death scenes, Jesus Christ metaphors, everything orchestrated by the crazy Paul Verhoeven. His mix of satire and violence, associated with a great... - Full Review
