RoboCop
"Dead or Alive, You're Coming With Me" — is what I kept saying to my wife and daughter for 1 month after watching Robocop. This movie is fun and still hits today: great villains, fun quotes, unhinged explosions (that gas station!), apocalyptic world with evil corporations (actual Detroit), iconic death scenes, Jesus Christ metaphors, everything orchestrated by the crazy Paul Verhoeven. His mix of satire and violence, associated with a great script, just gives an entertaining experience. I love his choices with Lewis (Nancy Allen) — Verhoeven asked her to cut her hair and gain some weight for the role. She enters the movie kicking some asses, she's a great sidekick, and this movie doesn't have a love story that Hollywood usually likes to add. Watch this if you haven't already — "Your move, creep".
