75 76% Tyson's Run (2022) - Rated 20 Mar 2024
"Only 2 ratings? Guess I'm the last Netflix subscriber on Earth. From another site, "Tyson's Run delves into the complexities of parenthood, especially raising a child diagnosed with autism, and highlights the emotional journey of Tyson's parents, Bobby and Eleanor." Those who enjoy inspirational family movies should enjoy this. It is a Christian movie, but it's very toned down and not preachy at all. Supposedly the lead actor is on the spectrum in real life as he is in the movie."
90 96% Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) - Rated 16 Mar 2024
75 76% Society of the Snow (2023) - Rated 14 Mar 2024
60 40% The Signal (2024) - Rated 14 Mar 2024
"I enjoyed it though it could have probably been about an hour shorter as few of the flashbacks were actually needed."
25 4% 13 Minutes (2021) - Rated 28 Feb 2024
"Yeah. you can skip this one. Very slow lead up, which was basically getting to know the characters 4 minutes (not 13!) of action, then a makeshift medical tent where nothing happens, the end."
65 50% Lift (2024) - Rated 11 Feb 2024
"Silly, stupid, predictable, and I kinda liked it. But this is coming off seeing an absolutely terrible plane movie a few days ago so maybe I'm comparing it too much to that. Or maybe I just needed something dumb to watch tonight."
70 62% The Hill (2023) - Rated 09 Feb 2024
0% Zoom (2006) - Rated 06 Feb 2024
72 69% Orion and the Dark (2024) - Rated 05 Feb 2024
"Accidently pressed "Select" too many times on my Amazon Firestick controller when going to Netflix. I guess this was the first movie shown in the app. Since I didn't know what I was going to watch, I just decided to go ahead and watch this. Slow to start but becomes quite charming. The interplay between the fears, the storytelling, the generations, and the personifications of nighttime things was well done. I'd say this is similar to the movie Inside Out, but it goes its own direction."
35 11% Chariot (2013) - Rated 04 Feb 2024
"Quite an interesting premise with poor execution, but with a budget of $42,000, one can't expect a lot. It's possible that if this were made today that the script could be run through ChatGPT to greatly improve it. I do really wish this movie had an ending."
