I didn’t like it at first, and at the end I still didn’t like it. But it’s a must-watch because Cage is off the walls BONKERS. Like totally over the top. One of the most ridiculous movies I’ve ever seen. A poignant case for work-life balance - take a break before you have a mental breakdown like this one. Also let’s not forget this WAS a horror for the girl he raped. Because wtf.

Pretty terrible. Bad editing, bad acting on some parts, while others had squandered the potential. Music was kind of fun and spooky, but the storyline was trash. Most unbelievable part is that a mental patient escapes, slaughters people in a small town, and then his "alter ego" gets a job at a local mechanic shop? Did no one recognize him as the escaped mental patient? No cops looking for him? Lol.

TBH it's pretty bad, but in a kind of campy good way. Entertaining enough to keep me watching, despite being ridiculous. Plus - the old lady from House of 1000 Corpses! Nice. The beginning started off with a bang, and I like when men get their comeuppance.

Not too over-the-top like others in the time period/genre tend to be. Graphics were realistic and unsettling, enough to make a hardened gore-lover like me cringe, even while remaining subtle (anything with teeth gets me). Slightly boring mains and the storyline drags a bit, relying too heavily on exciting music. But interesting! And the ending was very climactic.
