"S1. Only enjoyed the prison episode as finally the storytelling felt focused and not so juvenile. They call this Star Wars for adults, which speaks to what kind of adults are targeted here. Ergo, ones with a Disney+ subscription (infants)"

"More White Lotus-slop. A directionless mess, and often infuriating as the comedy is of course unfunny, which is no surprise at all. It’s baby formula, but not all of it is easily plotted in a powerpoint matrix. Some strands of storyline have some promise and since some of the acting is solid (Moore of course but also Alcock) it’s not completely unwatchable but the subject matter of these strands is unfortunately handed with immaturity and the obligatory estrogen-skewed modern worldview"

"Preventable faults in the London Met police surrounding the 7/7 attacks are laid bare. As a terrorist story this works quite well. As an indictment of the London police, not as much. This is a police force that is misled by their politicians and as a result surprised by imported brutal ethnic violence that they have to react to on the spot. The death of this poor Brazilian guy is not on them, it’s on the islamic extremists that are allowed to roam free"
Narcos: Mexico (2018) - Rated 12 Jul 2025
"Contrary to critical acclaim i think S3 was by far the most solid. I struggled getting through the Gallardo seasons. Somehow the side characters Narcos started to come alive in s3. Better writing, or maybe better attention on my part? The frustrating story arch of Tapia, a cop trying to do a good thing but simply can’t in this environment, is well told and the most memorable thing of the season and touches on “high artistic quality” (the highest qualification)"
