A brilliant adventure summed up in a wonderful one-shot format followed immediately by more wonderful story telling. This show deserves a watch for the opening track alone, although I'm not a fan of some of the character dynamics.

Whiplash (2014) - Rated 11 Jan 2022

While I love Whiplash with my heart and soul, it fails at points to accurately-enough portray the life of a jazz musician. Wonderful and engaging story and soundtrack is cut short by the drawbacks of Equity actors.

Bloom into you (2018) - Rated 11 Jan 2022

I sincerely hope they adapt this to the end of the manga - the reason it loses points for me - because it is such a remarkable coming of age romance story, mainly about battling aromanticism in a very respectful way.

Paprika (2006) - Rated 11 Jan 2022

While this movie was a fun watch, it loses points in the overuse of the "confuse the viewer" cliché. It was confusing, which is great in movies at points, but when it got too confusing there felt like a lot of loose ends.

The Last: Naruto the Movie (2014) - Rated 11 Jan 2022

With a perfect blend of action, romantic development that I'd been seeking for ages, and amazing soundtrack, there isn't a day that goes by where I regret watching this movie 3x a week.

Your Lie in April (2014) - Rated 11 Jan 2022

While the ending was very sad, and the piano/violin-artwork combo is wonderful, I can't say in good conscience that I enjoyed this show. I'm all for linearity, but it felt too linear; it just bored me more than anything at times.
