Bio: Entertain and move me with story, character, acting, music/score, cinematography, and direction. Make it stylized, unapologetic, atmospheric, edgy, mysterious, and provocative. Sucker for the "buddy" genre (e.g. The Karate Kid, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Midnight Run), crime flics (Heat, Seven, The Silence of the Lambs), and the coming-of-age story (Almost Famous, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets, Perks). "Appreciate" (and that's as far as I'll go for much of it) the history of film and its movements with its auteurs, foreign and domestic, i.e., Fellini, Antonioni, Godard, Truffaut, De Sica, Renoir, Bunuel, Ozu, Kurosawa, Kubrick, Pressburger & Powell, Altman, Allen, Hawks, Keaton, & Chaplin. Bottom line: Show me something I haven't seen before. Transfix me!
