The acting was excellent. The movie goes nowhere. There's really only a couple ok scenes and the end action scene is entertaining, but plotless otherwise.

[Watch if you want to kill time with pretty] Not terrible, but I wouldn't describe it as great either. It's pretty (as a Disney movie should be), it's enertaining, and it's vaguely associated with The Nutcracker. You could do worse than see this movie.

Mary Poppins Returns (2018) - Rated 25 Dec 2018
[Watch at home] This is pretty much a beat-for-beat recreation of the original. Starts with family in trouble, Poppins shows up, there's a cleanup song/event, etc. There are so many callbacks to the origininal that you really need to see that first. I've always thought Marry Poppins was okay and this one is a touch less magical. Still fun, just temper expectations.

A decent bit of entertainment. Not my favorite Santa-is-in-trouble-and-we're-helping-plus-Christmas-cheer-is-low movie, but fun nonetheless. Curt Russel is an excellent Santa.
