"[Watch if you want to kill time with pretty] Not terrible, but I wouldn't describe it as great either. It's pretty (as a Disney movie should be), it's enertaining, and it's vaguely associated with The Nutcracker. You could do worse than see this movie."

"[Watch at home] This is pretty much a beat-for-beat recreation of the original. Starts with family in trouble, Poppins shows up, there's a cleanup song/event, etc. There are so many callbacks to the origininal that you really need to see that first. I've always thought Marry Poppins was okay and this one is a touch less magical. Still fun, just temper expectations."
