Bio: I use a letter grade system as follows, with S being the highest grade:

S=14; A=12; B=9; C=6; D=3; F=1

All scores in between are half-grades. A+, A- and so on.

Everything that I stopped watching or disliked watching gets an F. I'm not interested in "which movie is worse", only "which movie is better."

The Elephant Man (1980) - Rated 17 May 2021
Too melodramatic overall. Some of the drama hits the mark, but too often it strays into the ridiculous and even laughable. Most of the problems are caused by the fictional elements of the story that the scriptwriters inserted in order to create conflict. Unfortunately they did this in a very ham-fisted way. The real story of the Elephant Man is affecting enough on its own; it didn't need any extra drama.
