Casino Royale
Sets the waterline for all 'reboots' in any franchise. Successfully rescued Bond from chintzy irrelevance into a world-level blockbuster, and did so with Craig being roundly lampooned by fans for 'not having the right hair colour' and other such nonsense. Artfully creates the Bond persona in front of the audience without overselling it, every scene feels right and has it's place. Eva Green delivers a Vesper Lynd who you could truly believe would be able to spar and win against a Bond with youth on his side (but also slight naieveté).
