Sinners
I'm not denying that it's a good movie; but I don't think this movie would get this much of praise it 's getting now if it had been released in 2000's/early 2010's instead. because the current movie industry is pretty much on the shitter; people understandably tend to overrate somewhat decent movies that varies from the superhero/megafranchise blockbusters and art-house-esque dramas that's 95% of the latest releases nowadays.
on the other hand; it's really a fun movie with at least a few moments and lines guaranteed to make you laugh. you can feel the vision of ryan coogler like you'd feel scorsese's vision in goodfellas and casino. it's not a film that you'd watch alone with immersion; but with friend(s)/significant other to have a fun time.
