Taxi Driver

So I just finished taxi driver and it’s left me confused. On paper this is a very me movie, and it was the basis for my favorite movie of last year if not my favorite current movie which was joker. All out of my friends told me that because I like joker so much I would love this movie. And Im disappointed. Overall I wasn’t really that Impressed with this movie. I hated the score, The performances where fine and the story was weak. But I was Really impressed with the editing and most of the cinematography. This movie didn’t pull me in really at all. And I almost feel guilty for not liking this film. The middle was the most engaging part of the film but even that fell flat in parts. I saw what It was going for and It was super edgy for the time and even on todays standards, But It just wasn’t done the best it could have been hence my score.
