Backrooms

Man this one is tough for me. The absolute amazing production design, the eeriness, and just overall vibe of this movie were so awesome. Idk what it is is but the visuals make you feel oddly nostalgic in a way that just makes you so uncomfortable at the same time. The main thing that brought it down for me was the plot. I think the ambiguity was great, but I would’ve loved to see the themes of being alone verses being lonely and how that leads to absolute desolation explored even more. I think Clark’s character suffered from this the most and we didn’t get to fully see his descent into desolation maybe as much as I wanted to. Overall though, I really enjoyed it.
