A Christmas Carol
I have seen many A Christmas Carol adaptations in my day, and the 2009 and 1951 versions are perhaps my faves. This film is a new one to me but is just as charming as those. Sir Patrick Stewart is amazing and does the role of Scrooge perfectly.
I will admit, though, that I was not feeling this movie at first, and it was a bit all over the place with pacing and CGI. It did not impact my enjoyment much, but it was noticeable.
That being said, the Ghost of Christmas Present in this version is by far my favorite, and I am so happy it was the longest segment. It was very emotionally powerful and just so fun to see the behind-the-scenes dynamics that Scrooge would never see.
Anyway, I did not expect to love this as much as I did, but I do! It's going to be right up there alongside my fave Xmas movies!

Mini Review: I’ve seen many A Christmas Carol adaptations, and the 2009 and 1951 versions are my favorites. This one was new to me, but just as charming. Sir Patrick Stewart is excellent as Scrooge. While the pacing and CGI felt uneven at times, it didn’t hurt my enjoyment much. The Ghost of Christmas Present was easily the highlight—emotional, fun, and wonderfully revealing. I didn’t expect to love this, but I really did. It’s now one of my favorite Christmas movies.
