This was hyped up to me as one of the weirdest and most fucked-up movies ever, and although there are some intense scenes, it's nowhere close to anything I've seen. MY main issue is that nothing spooky really happens until halfway through, and everything alluded to is so obscured that this movie might as well have started at the halfway point. This is basically an edgy half-hour short extended into a ninety-minute slog. I didn't care about any of the characters, and the plot is just too convoluted to get invested in. I saw what they were going for with that ending, but so many other movies do the same thing while remaining interesting throughout. Go watch Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum if you want a spooky movie. It might have less gore, but what it does have is very effective. If you want the gore elements of this, watch Martyrs or Inside instead!
