Wow, that was a crazy experience. I put off watching this movie because of how disturbing people said this was and how then because of how this movie started. Even with this watch, I got 10 minutes and had to take a couple hour break. This is honestly such a demented fucked up movie that I don't even know where to start.

I guess I can't say anything without major spoilers so skip to the next section if you care about that, there's an announcement at the end.

Honestly, it was only an hour in until I thought I was watching The Truman Show and then eventually, I realized I was watching The Game! By the end of the film, it turns out I was watching both except way more fucked up. Man, this has so many chaotic themes of family and identity that my mind was a slushie during the entirety of the run time. But I ended up really liking most of this. Just wondering what would happen next and how everything would tie together. There's probably only about 1,000 things that still need answering but that's part of the charm! Oh, last thing before I end spoiler talk but I sort of love this because it's a tragedy!

Yeah, so I actually ended up quite liking this even though it's bit of a confusing mess. I like the artistry and how this is like 3 movies in one and everything is shot really well. It truly is like a fucked up fairy tale and I always enjoy those types of movies.

I don't think this will ever beat out Midsommar or Hereditary, but I would be willing to watch this again. I don't think I have anyone I could convince to sit through the first ten minutes of this though. What a crazy demented artistic feature!
Mini Review: I put this movie off for years because of how disturbing people said it was, and honestly, the opening alone almost made me tap out. I got ten minutes in, took a two-hour break, then came back. It's messy, confusing, and leaves a thousand questions unanswered, but that's part of the charm. I really ended up liking it. It's beautifully shot, deeply unsettling, and genuinely tragic. I doesn't top Midsommar or Hereditary for me, but I'd absolutely watch it again. What a twisted artistic nightmare.
