Corpse Bride

At first, I was worried I would hate this because it just seems so much worse than The Nightmare Before Christmas. I hated the music and was shocked by how different the animation quality was. In fact, it took me a long time for this movie to finally click with me. The more I watched it, though, the more I enjoyed it. I think it's a case of me not really knowing what to expect, and without any nostalgia for this movie, the musical elements were just off-putting. I'm glad I stuck with it, though, because I kind of loved it by the end. Maybe a rewatch will make me love the whole thing.

A lot of people seem to have the opposite problem from me and hate the ending to this. I can sort of see where they're coming from, but I enjoy the fairy tale elements of this story, even though the more natural conclusion inevitably happens. The characters and voice acting were definitely the standout parts. As I said before, I'm not really into the animation, but some of the visual gags were quite funny. This is also an extremely charming movie, and I can finally see why so many people adore this film!
