Don't Breathe
Oh my, I finally got to watching this and all I can say I am surprised. I actually really enjoyed this a whole lot. First, Jane Levy is amazing and I have I loved here ever since I watched her in Suburgatory some 15 years ago. She's also an amazing actress who really should have gotten more work from her role in The Evil Dead remake.
Anyway, the easiest compliment I can give this film is that it's Barbarian done right! Finally a movie where you are trapped inside with the owner that's done competently! This was also really suspenseful although, I was only really concerned for Jane Levy as the other two characters kind of suck. Stephen Lang was pretty scary so I at least liked two of the characters.
Pretty solid movie and I am shocked I liked this as much as I did. I have a few minor nitpicks on how guns work in this and some of the choices made, but the thing really bringing this down is the ending. Seriously, the last scene of this movie is cheap and ruins this film. I am now slightly interested in the sequel!
