5/9/2026:
I used to work in a movie theater when this film came out and I always ended up catching the last 8 minutes of this movie. My Co-workers were always laughing at the ending but when I saw this with my friends finally a week or two later, this scared the shit out of me. That first watch in the theater was super memorable and I have great memories watching it with friends.

Today was the fourth time that I have watched this and I feel I love it more every time. This is packed with details and there's so much to read into and observe. I caught even more "blink and you miss it" details and I wonder just how many little things I might be missing.

All of the horror in this is about grief and the madness it can bring. I love how this movie plays with the family dynamic and Toni Collette is especially fantastic in this! She deserved an Oscar for her performance!

I am hoping that whenever I check this out again, I can figure out some more details. I might even try and watch it again and just look at the background and in the out of focus areas. It's like a demented Easter Egg hunt, I love it!

It probably be a bit before I watch Midsommar. I really want to watch the directors cut of that film!
