Silent Hill: Revelation 3D

The first one was a guilty pleasure of mine and so is this! Sean Bean honestly can do no wrong and I actually love the main Heather in this! The "3D" elements were distracting to be sure, and there is some bad CGI, but god damn, this was still pretty fun. I know this is not the best film, but I think people are way too harsh on this because there's a lot of worse stuff out there. Seriously, I rather have movies like this then 80% of what is coming out more recently...

What wasted potential... Honestly, I love the ideas of these movies separating themselves from the video game but this is where it gets disrespectful to Pyramid Head! It's not enough that they bring him and the nurses back but they make him a goofy mascot in this.
Besides that, the other things that I hate in this are the bad CGI/3D integration and Kit Harington. I know it's pretty much his first acting role, but any time he's on screen makes me want to barf. I honestly think the movie would be better regarded if those three issues were fixed, but every movie has it's issues.
This is where I have to say that I still sort of love this movie Sean Bean can honestly do no wrong and Adelaide Clemens is amazing as Heather. Like she's the living embodiment of Heather and I love her!
The music does a lot of heavy lifting and as much as a lot of the CGI is quite bad, I still love the effects of going into "The other world." Also, the monster designs in this are still pretty sweet.
You can consider this one of my biggest guilty pleasures. It hits all the right beats for me with the exceptions I listed. It's a fun movie but I don't think I would watch it every time I would watch the first movie.
