Hello everyone, it's review time!

Today, I'll be providing a spoiler-free review for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse! (This review assumes you have seen the trailer and know the premise.)

This is a fantastic follow-up to the first film. The movie starts in an interesting way, and for the most part, the pacing is good. The characters remain relatable and fun to watch and root for. The comedy hits the mark, and I found myself laughing out loud on many occasions.

Delving deeper while still being somewhat vague, I loved how they explored the alternate universes and showcased numerous Spider-People—it was a truly enjoyable experience. The film also features several visually stunning scenes with great animation, which I'll discuss further in the spoiler review! I was engaged throughout many moments.

The only real downside is that there were two or three instances where the pacing dragged a bit. As a long movie, although I wouldn't make significant cuts, some scenes could have been trimmed by a minute or so to improve the overall flow. Additionally, one particular set-piece felt overly pastel, and the bright colors clashed with the scene's tone.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this film and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first installment. There's a lot to discuss, so expect a spoiler review in the coming days! That being said, if you're interested, I recommend watching this film soon, as the sequel is set to arrive next year!

I give this film an 18/20.
Mini Review: A fantastic follow-up to the first film, Across the Spider-Verse balances strong pacing, relatable characters, and sharp comedy. The exploration of alternate universes and countless Spider-People was a joy, with stunning animation throughout. A few scenes dragged slightly, and one pastel-heavy set-piece clashed with the tone, but overall it’s an engaging, visually dazzling ride. Highly recommended for fans of the original, especially those eager for the sequel.
