I really wanted to love this film because I was spoiled on what happens in this and I love the premise. I do think there is something great in this movie but the characters are some of the dumbest I have ever seen! Alexandra Daddario adds "TWO STARS". The ending adds two as well, but god damn, some of the CGI is also bad. This really could have been great... A shame

I have no idea why I gave this movie a 5/10 the first time I watched it. Maybe I was in a bad mood from the third and fourth Texas Chainsaws? I made jokes about Alexandra Daddario giving it a whole two more stars, but she absolutely carries this movie. The CGI is still pretty bad, and there are a lot of contrivances, but it's still a silly movie that I quite enjoyed. Leatherface was also pretty interesting in this one, and I enjoy when he's shown to still have some humanity in him. I have no idea how this story would continue with that ending, but it would be a really cool place to carry on somewhere down the line. Consider this a guilty pleasure, because I can't actually see too much wrong with this besides the CGI and the contrived plot.
Oh yeah, and Alexandra Daddario is extremely hot. That... that might still bump up the score a bit.
