Wow, I am actually a bit speechless with this one. It's just as convoluted as the show but at least I didn't have to worry about when to watch what episode. This was a very fun anime to watch and I can see why it's here in the Letterboxd top 250. It really gets creative with the story and ties the entire show together in an interesting way.

I am also glad I ended up watching this ahead of when I wanted because this ended up not really being a Christmas movie at all. It just took place during the last week of school. Which is great because this is the last week of one of my college classes.

Anyways, I find myself not able to say a lot about this series. It's just so much, so dense, and I just need time to wrap my head around it. This was a very emotional film and it did tug at the heart strings a lot. It also had its tense moments and the way this is animated is breathtaking for 2010! My only complaint is that I think the first 20 minutes could have ben cut in half and the ending could have been done differently. I don't know, it might just be a matter of taste. It felt too sappy for what the rest of the series was.
Mini Review: I’m glad I watched this earlier than planned, since it wasn’t really a Christmas movie, just set during the last week of school, which fits perfectly as I finish one of my college classes. The series is dense and emotional, tugging at the heartstrings while delivering tense moments and stunning animation for 2010. My only complaint is that the first 20 minutes could’ve been shorter, and the ending felt overly sappy compared to the rest.
