The Rocky Horror Picture Show
This is my second time watching this, and without the nostalgia, I don't think I liked it as much the second time around.
It's still really fun and crazy. I enjoy most of the songs, and that's rare for me when it comes to musicals. My main sticking point is just how much rape there is in this movie and how casually it's treated. Like, Revenge of the Nerds has nothing on this movie, and yet this one gets a pass for some reason. I don't get offended easily, but something about this just seemed so tasteless.
Tim Curry was a great gremlin in this, though. There's no denying that. I mostly knew him growing up from Scooby-Doo! and the Witch's Ghost, as well as that one SPACE!!! meme. As I grew up and watched him in a bunch of stuff, I came to love how much energy he brings to his roles. He's fantastic in pretty much everything!
Rest in peace, Tim Curry.
