I liked it?!?!

I don't know what I was thinking giving this an 8/10 the first time I saw this. I guess I thought it was novel and interesting but it's just bad. Like, the OG film had charm and was actually still scary at times. This was just nonsense with bad acting, useless characters, and awful pacing. They skipped over some really good things and just invents bad plot points. It's really a shame because the story as it is would be great with a modern spin. I just don't understand why I liked this because I hated everything in this.
