Funny how there’s a certain point with some series that can eventually start to wear down your defenses, simply from the familiarity of the characters and actors – I can’t say this is a great example of kiddie entertainment, as it is still too thin on the ground in terms of ambition and insight, but I have to admit a small affection sneaking in for Gordon, Bostick, Zahn and even Harris that made this entry into a bit of a warm and fuzzy blanket. Possibly the least “plotty” of the series to date, but also far more laid back and relaxed, especially thanks to the kid performers who have grown in to their characters and seem to hit their marks as second nature. If you can bear the previous chapters, you might find some modest genuine entertainment here.
