It Was Just an Accident
DEATH AND THE MAIDEN with flickers of screwball farce – an interesting effort which would have worked better playing on the ambiguity of Azizi’s guilt, rather than introducing an over elaborate array of characters to reveal what is more or less confirmed from the opening scene; still has some teasingly intriguing things to say about the nature (and morality) of revenge, as well as the different lingering effects that extreme trauma can inflict on the group psyche.
