Jurassic World: Rebirth
An improvement over the dire previous chapter, this has a back-to-basics quality to it that is most welcome, and while I would still argue against the necessity of continuing this franchise which has now been completely played out to redundancy, if you have to make a new chapter, you could do a lot worse: the reset of the motley crew stranded with the dinosaurs brings an inherent freshness, and Edwards stages and executes some genuinely gripping dino action, especially the legitimately great suspense sequence involving a T-Rex. It still lacks that Spielberg touch from long ago, but as a disposable monster movie, it’s perfectly serviceable.
