Pixels
Amiable enough Happy Madison high-concept doesn’t really do enough *with* the concept, especially as it devolves into its tedious clash-and-bang climax, but the first half is a surprising amount of fun, with President James in good form, Sandler and Monaghan perfectly likable, and Dinklage stealing the show as the lascivious villain. A little frustrating as it sets up good ideas and performers and strands them (why Aykroyd for what amounts to a nothing cameo?), but I think I was expecting much worse and was largely pleasantly surprised.
